The Santiago City Sports Complex is currently under construction in Santiago City, Isabela. After a long wait, the residents of Santiago City will finally have their very own sports complex. This facility is being built in Barangay Baluarte.
Back in 2020, when Cauayan City completed its own sports complex, many residents of Santiago City expressed their frustration, feeling that the progress in their city was slow. Cauayan City not only built its sports complex but also opened an SM City Mall, further highlighting the gap between the two cities in terms of development.
Now, Santiago City is catching up. For the first time, the Cagayan Valley Regional Athletic Association (CAVRAA) meet, scheduled for 2025, will be held at the Santiago City Sports Complex. The construction is expected to be completed by May 2025.
